Willamette Valley

The Willamette valley runs through central Oregon, south of Portland. It shifts from dull grey in the winter, to a lush greenscape in the spring and a golden wonder in summer. Detroit Lake marks the eastern edge, at around 1, 500 feet, and is essentially the gateway from the Valley to the Deschutes National Forest. The central plains roam from Deschutes to the Oregon Coast Range in the west.
